Suzanne Pleshette

SuzanneSuzanne Pleshette was an American voice actress, actor, film and television star born January 31, 1937, and died January 19, 2008. Pleshette began her career in theatre and appeared in films in late 1950s. In later years, she was an important actor in films like Rome Adventure (1962), Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds (633) and Spirited Away (11). From 1972 to 1978, Pleshette was a regular guest on a variety of TV productions. She was also a part of Emily Hartley, which earned her numerous Emmy Award nominations. Pleshette was born on January 31, 1937, in the New York City neighborhood of Brooklyn Heights, to Geraldine (nee Kaplan)[1 and Eugene Pleshette. Her parents were Jewish immigrants from Russia and Austria-Hungary. Her mother was a dancer, artist , and choreographer who performed under her stage name of Geraldine Rivers. Her father was stage director at the Paramount Theater, Manhattan, as well as the Paramount Theater, Brooklyn.
